FAIRLAWN, Va. (WDBJ7) New jobs are coming to Pulaski County. Koinonia is hiring 40 people for its new location in Dublin.
Governor Terry McAuliffe helped make the announcement Friday morning.
The company is investing nearly $5 million to open its first manufacturing facility in the United States.
"It tells us that the things they're seeing other companies would see as well. We're very well situated with interstate highways and our proximity to large markets but still being in an area where we have a great quality of life and relatively lower cost of living," said Joe Guthrie, a member of the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors.
The company that makes foams and tapes for industrial use is from Brazil and chose Virginia over four other states for this new location.
It will be located in the new ShaeDawn Industrial Park in Dublin.
