Lynchburg City Council votes to maintain existing trash container options

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Lynchburg residents won't be getting new trash cans after all.

Lynchburg City Council voted Tuesday to keep the 32- and 64-gallon containers customers are already using.

Public Works was exploring the idea of switching to a 96-gallon can for all customers, after consultants suggested the larger container would make trash collection more efficient.
