LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- A man in Lynchburg is helping to bring clean water across the world.

Ben Crosswhite, the owner of Crosswhite Fitness, is teaming up with World Help to build five water wells in Guatemala.

Crosswhite says he saw a need after visiting the country several times.

His goal is to give back because of how important health and wellness are to him. "One well will serve two to 500 people and it'll last up to 20 years," explained Crosswhite. "You cannot go, and I challenge anyone with this, you cannot go to Guatemala and see what I've seen and not do something about it."

Crosswhite uses events in his hometown and at his gym to help raise money.

He's already helped build about seven wells.

He hopes to build two new ones each year.
