Lynchburg man hurt in early morning shooting

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Lynchburg police are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person hurt.

Officers responded to the 500 block of Chambers Street around 3 a.m. Thursday for a report of a gunshot wound.

While officers were responding, the victim was taken to the Lynchburg General Hospital.

The victim has been identified as 35-year-old Troy Johnson, a Lynchburg resident. It's not clear how badly he was hurt.

Police have not made any arrests.
