Lynchburg police seek suspects in larceny, fraud case

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Lynchburg police are seeking help in locating two people suspected of larceny and debit-card fraud.

Police say a victim reported their pocketbook stolen while shopping, then said their debit card had been used in multiple fraudulent transactions.

According to a release from the Lynchburg Police Department, the incident occurred April 3 when the alleged victim was shopping in a store on Wards Road. The victim claimed their debit card had been used at Target, Game Stop and Walmart on Wards Road and Old Forest Road.

Total losses from the transactions equaled about $2,000, the release stated.

Police collected surveillance photos of the alleged perpetrators.
