Lynchburg's Office of Economic Development recognized internationally
The City of Lynchburg has been recognized on the international stage.
Lynchburg received two bronze awards from The International Economic Development Council. The awards were for Lynchburg Innovation Week and a marketing video that was made to engage young professionals in the city.
"Our charge is to both attract and retain business in the City of Lynchburg and that means jobs," said Anna Bentson, Assistant Director of Economic Development and Tourism. "So if we are marketing Lynchburg well, and we are serving our business community well, It will in turn create more jobs and create more wealth in the community."
The awards will be added to a shelf with other certificates and accolades, but the work does not stop here for the Economic Development and Tourism Office. They say they still have projects to complete and room to grow.
