Man arrested after pursuit in Pulaski County

PULASKI COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Deputies in Pulaski County arrested a man that refused to stop when authorities clocked him over the speed limit.

Authorities say at 10:33 a.m., deputies tried to stop a man driving a red 2013 Chevrolet Camaro going 78 in a 60 mph work zone at the 104 mile marker on Interstate 81 in Pulaski County. The man refused to stop when a deputy activated his emergency lights. That's when a pursuit ensued.

State Police was able to assist deputies and stop the man at the 138.7 mile marker.

The man, Dejuane Ramel Wilson, 24, of Wakefield, Va. was arrested and charged with Felony Elude by the Virginia State Police and transported to the Roanoke County Jail. Charges are pending in Pulaski County.
