Man charged in relation to Martinsville deadly shooting

Police have charged a 23-year-old Martinsville man accused of participating in a homicide Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a call of shots being fired early Tuesday morning at 1:20 a.m. at 313 Clift Street.
On arrival, officers found 24-year-old Rasheem Oshea Hairston of Eden, North Carolina dead at the scene.
After arrival, officers were called to the hospital for another person suffering from non-life threatening gunshot wounds, Davontae lee Massey.
According to authorities, warrants have been issued for Davontae Lee Massey, 23, of Martinsville. Massey is charged with second-degree murder.
