Teens in Campbell County used Monday's Martin Luther King holiday as an opportunity to connect with older adults.
Campbell County's Youth Advisory Council hosted a service project called "Senior to Senior."
Twelfth graders from all four county high schools showed senior citizens how to use technology and social media.
In turn the elders taught students about events of the past.
"It's cool to connect with people from a generation that I normally don't get to connect with," said Hannah Schrock, a William Campbell High School student who serves on the Campbell County Youth Advisory Council. "They're willing to help you, just as you're willing to help them."
Campbell County's Youth Advisory Council organizes programs and events throughout the year to give teens a positive way to spend their time.
