MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) The Martinsville SPCA is trying to raise money for its low cost spay and neuter program with a spaghetti dinner later this week.
It's happening this Thursday at Shindig in Martinsville.
The SPCA says it's important to keep spay and neuter costs low so they can control dog and cat populations.
Many times people cannot afford to get their pet spayed or neutered themself.
"For a lot of people who are dealing with maybe financial stresses, or they have taken on colony management of cats at the end of their road in their neighborhood, this is a life saving avenue," says Martinsville/Henry County SPCA Executive Director, Nicole Harris.
They will fill carry-out orders from 4:00-6:00 and serve dine-in orders from 6:00-10:00
