MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) A Martinsville woman is facing several charges after police executed a narcotics search warrant.

Martinsville police executed a narcotics search warrant on Jan. 11 in the 800 block of Clark Road. Police have charged 57-year-old Cynthia Roknich with four counts of unauthorized use of food stamps, electronic benefit transfer cards and one count of obtaining good under false pretense.

Roknich is being held in the Martinsville City Jail without bond.
The investigation is ongoing and police anticipate there to be further charges.

Roknich was arrested in January after police searched the home on Clark Road. They collected items associated with the use and distribution of narcotics, including pills, mushrooms, digital scales, baggies, numerous syringes, smoking devices, pill crushers, spoons with residue and mirrors with powdery residue. Ammunition and several debit cards in different names were also collected. The house was condemned by a building official due to ingress/egress and sanitation issues. Additionally, the Martinsville Animal Control officer put one dog and six cats into protective custody.
