CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) A popular transportation company is back in Christiansburg after an extended hiatus.

Service is now available to Atlanta, Chattanooga, Knoxville and Washington D.C. with fares starting at as low as $1 (plus a reservation fee). had it's first 81-passenger bus pick up people at the new Park & Ride Wednesday.

The service stopped when there were complaints about the old stop being too close to a school and passengers were going inside the premises without permission.

But VDOT worked with the buses to build the new stop next to I-81 with a gas station and convenience store across the street.

Director of Corporate Affairs for Magabus North America Sean Hughes explained, "It kind of worked out perfectly for us and for our passengers to have easier access to it, it's easy for us to get on I-81 as well as for our passengers to be able to get a cup of coffee before they leave or grab a quick bite to eat or bring it onto the bus."

The bus company is already accepting reservations for the holidays online.
