Missing Rockbridge hog just looking for right place for piggies

LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) Good Place Farms B&B's owner Justin Peery tells WDBJ7 that all 10 piglets are back safely!

--

In Rockbridge County, a lot of farmers are looking at preparing their animals for the coming storm

But Justin Peery was particularly concerned about a sow at his farm-to-table B-and-B. Turned out, she had spent two days looking for a new place to have her babies.

Ten little piglets are just fine, but now they have to get her back to the pen.

"Such a huge relief. I mean, we love our animals, we take care of them.," said Peery, Good Place Farms B&B's owner. "The kids, when they come to stay, they love them. They take pictures with them, hold them, get to bottle feed them, that type of stuff. You know, we really care about what we do and how we do it."

He says the pigs usually use a little birthing stall in their pen.
