BOTETOURT Co., Va. (WDBJ7) In Botetourt County, there's a new way to fuel your car.

Brugh's Mill Country Store is the first place in Virginia and second in the country to unveil high powered electric charging stations. The company says it can provide 20 miles of power in a minute of charging.

Cody Sexton, Botetourt County Management Assistant, said, "More and more car producers are starting to look that direction and so folks who are driving along the interstate 81 is a major interstate will need those opportunities to stop and charge their vehicle."

Electrify America is starting to build these types of stations all across the country. They want to have two thousand chargers like this under construction across the country by June of 2019.
