UPDATE: One injured in shooting near North Main St. in Danville

Around 1 p.m. Friday, Danville Police responded to the 500 block of N. Main Street in reference to a person being shot.

They found a 24-year-old male victim in a back yard of an apartment building, who was suffering gunshot wounds.

He was transported to SOVAH for treatment.

The investigation is on-going.

Danville Police say that a person has been shot near North Main Street in the city.

Officials say that it was around the Family Dollar.

Police have confirmed that the male victim has been transported to SOVAH Health.

After further investigation, it led police to an apartment.

Police are currently in the process of getting a search warrant for the apartment.

The shooters location is unknown at this time.
