One killed, two injured in Bedford County SUV crash

Virginia State Police say one man died and two others were injured, after the SUV they were riding in crashed in Bedford County.
The crash happened around 10:30 Thursday night, according to state troopers. Adam Kendall of Axton was driving a 2000 Toytota 4-Runner on Route 842 (Stripers Cove Road) in Goodview when state police say the vehicle crossed the center line, ran off the left side of the roadway, went down an embankment and crashed into several trees.
Kendall, 30, was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. State police say he was wearing a seatbelt.
Two other passengers, Eric Gerner and Daniel Yardley, were also riding in the vehicle according to state police. Troopers say Gerner was wearing a seatbelt, while Yardley was not. Yardley, 39, died at the scene according to state police. They say Gerner was able to receive treatment at a nearby hospital.
People living in Goodview tell WDBJ7 the wreckage was not discovered and the people involved in the crash were unable to receive treatment until early Friday morning. State police were unable to immediately confirm those details.
