UPDATE: Two teens charged in shooting death of Danville man

The Danville Police Department has charged two teens in the death of 23-year-old Louis Glenn of Danville.

Stevie Johnson, Jr., 18, of Danville is currently being held in the Danville City Jail for the murder of Glenn.

A 14-year-old male was also charged with possession of a handgun while under the age of 18, and criminal street gang participation, among other charges.

His name is being withheld due to his age.

This investigation is ongoing.

The Danville Police Department has identified 23-year-old Louis Glenn of Danville as the victim in a homicide Thursday.


The Danville Police have identified the victim, who died in a shooting at the 400 block of Moffett Street, as an adult male. The individuals name has not been identified at this time.

When crews arrived at the scene they found the man unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his upper body.

Danville EMS responded and pronounced the man non-viable.

Police say the body has been sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke for an autopsy.

The shooting is under investigation at this time.

Danville Police have confirmed that one person has died in a shooting off of Moffett Street.

The call came in around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
