Fight between two women leads to man getting shot in Downtown Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) UPDATE:

One man was shot early Sunday morning in the 100 block of Campbell Avenue SW, according to Roanoke Police.

Police say two women were arguing with each other in a restaurant. When they were asked to leave, they began to fight.

According to police, the fight continued in the streets. At that point, a man shot another man regarding the incident.

No one has been arrested at this time.

The man who was shot is in stable condition.

Police responded to a shooting early Sunday morning according to Roanoke dispatchers.

The call came in at 2:05 a.m. to the 100 block of Campbell Avenue.

Police have not said if any arrests have been made at this time.

WDBJ7 witnessed emergency crews handling a body, but there have been no official reports of any injuries at this time.
