Man charged in connection to Danville shooting

A man has been charged in connection to a shooting in Danville Saturday night.

Danville Police responded to the 2100 block of Baxter Street around 10:42 p.m.

A 43-year-old Danville resident was found with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim is in critical but stable condition.

Police say a 49-year-old Danville resident was in the house during the incident and was assaulted. That person was treated for non-life threatening injuries at SOVAH Health and later released.

Danville Police say they arrested Calvin Clark, 60, and is being held in the Danville City Jail under no bond.

Clark faces three charges including:
-Aggravated Malicious Wounding
-Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
-Discharge a Firearm in an occupied Building


The Danville Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 2100 block of Baxter Street, the department wrote on Twitter.

One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The person who was injured has not been identified.

No information has been released about a suspect.

Police are still investigating.
