One woman goes to hospital, man to jail after Appomattox shooting

One man is in jail and a woman is recovering in the hospital tonight after a shooting in Concord.
According to the Appomattox County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a home in the 900 lock of Hummingbird Lane in Concord around 8 p.m. Saturday.
They say a female victim is bring treated for a single gunshot wound. She's been taken to Lynchburg General Hospital. Deputies have not released details on the woman's condition.
Rudolph Lee Steele Jr, 57, has been arrested. He's been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and the use of a gun in the commission of a felony.
He's being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Amherst division.
