Oxygen infused facial offered in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) First it was the vampire facial, now it’s something a little cooler. It may look like a pretty run-of-the-mill facial, but the technology is not.

“We’re going to be doing a facial on you but we’re also going to be bringing in a machine that’s going to take oxygen and push the serums down seven layers into your skin,” said Madison Madden, of Glamhouse.

Celebrities swear by it, which is why Madden decided to offer it to clients here in the Roanoke Valley.

“I know a lot of celebrities like Oprah and Fergie, and many celebrities use this before any live show that they’re going on. Basically the results last anywhere from 12-15 days. It plumps the skin, helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles temporarily. But it’s amazing, very hydrating facial,” said Leigh Ann Shires, licensed aesthetician at Glamhouse.

They both say that Jennifer Lopez is a huge advocate of the treatment as well.

“J.Lo uses this every day, and she doesn’t just use it on her face, she puts it on her whole body. I hope one day I can afford to do the same,” Madden said.

So here’s the deal. If you’ve had a regular facial, it doesn’t feel exactly like that. But it’s still very relaxing. And you can hear the facial working for your skin.

A small tool holds the serum, and pushes the oxygen into your skin. If your skin is dehydrated, it works extra hard.

“This facial is great year ‘round. Specifically though, this is a very hydrating facial so during the winter months, it’s awesome, it just has all those extra benefits in there,” Shires said.

“I use my mom as a reference, I did this on her not to long ago, and she said that she felt like she could go out in public without makeup. And that is very unlike my mom, always very dolled up, always has makeup on, and she felt like she didn’t need any makeup on. Your skin just feels dewy and fresh,” she said.

They say this is one of the most popular facials because it's you really do see results immediately.

Anyone can have this done regardless of skin type or age. People who are undergoing cancer treatment, can also have this facial, and it's even safe during pregnancy.
Madden says if you're getting Botox, this extends the life of it; they call it the “No-tox Botox.”
