POLICE: 6th grader sticks three classmates with diabetes lancet
Charges are expected against a North Carolina 6th grader after police say he stuck three classmates with a lancet.
Ayden Police Chief Barry Stanley said the three students were taken to the hospital today by their parents.
It happened at Ayden Middle School.
The chief says the 6th grader found a diabetes lancet, a small needle that patients use to prick their finger with, and poked the three classmates.
One of the students drew blood from the injury, according to the chief.
Because of the age of the 6th grader, police will be filing a juvenile petition for the assault.
