MONTGOMERY County., Va. (WDBJ7) -- Opponents of the Mountain Valley Pipeline organized a Halloween protest in Montgomery County Wednesday. More than a dozen protesters dressed as zombies blocked an access gate on Mt. Tabor Road leading to the pipeline right-of-way.

At one point, the protesters were lying on the ground and chanting "Don't make us the living dead. Kill the MVP instead," and "Cauldron boil, cauldron bubble, MVP's in lot's of trouble."

Law enforcement officers responded to the site, but it's unclear if they made any arrests.

A post on the Appalachians Against Pipelines Facebook page said the protesters blocked the construction site for over an hour.
