UPDATE: Man sent to the hospital after stabbing in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- *UPDATE*
Roanoke City Police responded to a stabbing Saturday night.

Police were called to the 300 block of 9th Street SE around 10:15 p.m. That’s where they found a man with stab wounds inside a home.

Officers identified the suspect as Carl Davis, 43, of Roanoke. They say Davis forced his way into the house and assaulted the victim. Police found Davis at a nearby residence, where he was arrested and charged with malicious wounding and burglary.

The victim was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for treatment.

This is still under investigation.

Police in Roanoke confirm one person was taken to the hospital after a stabbing in Roanoke, and another person is in custody.

It happened near 9th Street and Tazewell Avenue.

Right now the condition of the person is not known.
