Police: Woman taken to hospital after being stabbed at a party

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBj7) -- Lynchburg Police say one woman is in the hospital recovering after she was stabbed at a party Sunday morning.

Police say they were dispatched to Lynchburg General Hospital after reports of a woman who was stabbed.

Officers say at midnight on March 17, a woman was stabbed at a party in the 6400 block of Pawnee Drive. Police were told that she was stabbed by an unknown subject with a knife.

The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.

Police say they are looking for a black female with braids that was wearing blue jeans. No further description is available.
