UPDATE: Radford police arrest man for armed robbery at Carter Bank and Trust

RADFORD, Va. (WDBJ7) UPDATE: Radford Police have arrested a man they believe robbed a bank Thursday afternoon.

34-year-old Bradley Paul Wimmer of Pembroke, Va was taken into custody at a Christiansburg Olive Garden.

Wimmer faces Burglary, Grand Larceny, Robbery, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony charges.

Wimmer is being held at the New River Regional Jail without bond.

Police says a majority of the stolen money has been recovered.

The investigation into the band robbery continues.

The Radford Police Department is investigating a bank robbery that happened Thursday afternoon.

Police say an armed man robbed the Carter Bank and Trust on East Main Street around 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

The man was dressed in all black and was wearing a green mask and sunglasses.

The robber ran from the bank and is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Radford City Police Department is currently investigating an armed robbery at Carter Bank and Trust, located at 1900 East Main Street in Radford. The robbery took place at 12:30 p.m. and the suspect is described as a male, dressed in all black, with a green mask and sunglasses. The suspect fled on foot and is armed and dangerous.
