UPDATE: Man dies in Monday morning shooting in Roanoke County; two remain hospitalized

Police say they responded to a residence in the 8000 block of Enon Drive at approximately 4:10 a.m. on May 14 for a report of a loud party.

After police say they spoke with residents, no enforcement action was taken.

Just before 7 a.m., police again responded to the residence for shots fired. Upon arrival, two victims with gunshot wounds were found and transported to the hospital. A third individual, now identified as 23-year-old Keonte K. Johnson, of Salem was found deceased with gunshot wounds.

The two individuals in the hospital continue to recover, police say. No arrests have been made in this incident at this time.


Roanoke County Police say Keonte K. Johnson, 23, of Salem died in a Monday morning shooting.

Police say the other two victims are still receiving treatment at the hospital. No charges have been filed.

Police are continuing to investigate and interview witnesses.


Police are investigating a shooting at a house near Walrond Park in Roanoke County, according to Roanoke County officials.

According to police, officers were dispatched to the scene after a call came in about a possible shooting early this morning.

Police say the incident happened in the 8000 block of Enon Dr.

Multiple people have been transported to the hospital. There is no word on their condition.

Police have confirmed one dead after suffering from gunshot wounds.

Roanoke Police says there is no danger to the public.
