Power outages continue into Thursday

As of Thursday, Appalachian Power is still experiencing hundreds of outages.
Appalachian Power says tree-related wind damage is to blame for the outages.

Appalachian Power is reporting more than 3,000 customers are without power in parts of Roanoke and Roanoke County.
As of 11:30 p.m. there is no word on what caused the outages.
WDBJ7 also reported 1,500 customers were without power in Henry County Wednesday night.
According to Appalachian Power's website, service has been restored to most of those customers in southside.
A handful of areas are experiencing power outages Wednesday night, according to Appalachian Power.
A total of around 1,556 customers are without power as of 10:29 pm.
There is no word on estimated time of restoration or cause of the outages.
