RECALL ALERT: Brand of dry dog food recalled for high levels of Vitamin D

Nutrisca is recalling its dry dog food because of high levels of Vitamin D.

Bags affected have a Best By Date code of Feb. 25, 2020 through Sept. 13, 2020. The code can be found on the back or bottom of each bag. If you've purchased the dog food, you're asked to throw it out or return it for a full refund.

Dogs ingesting elevated levels of Vitamin D may exhibit symptoms such as vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss, according to the FDA. High levels of Vitamin D can also cause renal dysfunction.
