Arrests made in three shooting incidents in Radford

RADFORD, Va. (WDBJ7) -- UPDATE: The Radford City Police Department has made multiple arrests in this case.

Twenty-four-year-old Michael Lassiter Jr., 19-year-old Marquay Alston and 19-year-old Terelle Todd have been charged with numerous offenses.

Lassiter Jr., of Smithfield, was charged with one count of shooting a firearm with 100 feet of a school, one count of shooting a firearm from a vehicle, one count of use of firearm in commission of a felony, one count of concealed carry of a firearm, one count of pointing/brandishing a firearm, one count of attempted assault-malicious and two counts of reckless handling of a firearm.

Alston, of Radford, has been charged with one count of shooting a firearm within 100 feet of a school, one count of shooting a firearm from a vehicle and one count of reckless handling of a firearm.

Todd, of Dublin, has been charged with the same offenses as Alston.

All three suspects are being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail without bond.

EARLIER: The Radford City Police Department is investigating three separate reports of shots fired.

The incidents happened between 11:19 Saturday night and 12:30 Sunday morning.

The shootings took place in the 400 Block of Sanford Street, the 1000 Block of Carson Street and the 900 Block of New River Drive.

At this time, investigators say it's unknown if the incidents are related.

Police say one person was injured related to the shootings; however, it is not a gunshot wound.
