According to a release from Randolph College, the price for an education and its amenities will be dropping by approximately 35 percent starting with the fall 2020 incoming class.

“Today’s change will narrow the gap between our ‘sticker price’ and what students and their families actually pay for a Randolph education,” says Randolph President Bradley W. Bateman.

Specific numbers released by the college cite tuition moving from $40,521 to $25,000, and room and board decreasing to $11,000 from the previous $13,580

Randolph officials say they are "working to ensure there will be no negative impact on current students’ net tuition and fees."

Lynchburg-area students (Lynchburg City and Appomattox, Amherst, Bedford, Campbell, and Nelson Counties) will also have an added way to save money on their college educations. The Local Educational Access Program (LEAP) has a cap in place for local students paying no more than $12,000 in tuition, and no more than $20,000 combined with room and board.
