ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) Heart & Spade Forge owner Jed Curtis is a modern day blacksmith.
"It's such a different way of constructing something. It's not like carpentry, welding, or anything. You have a fixed volume and you manipulate that volume and push it where you want it to go," said Curtis.
Curtis tells us pieces take about 6 hours to create and he currently has about a month and half backlog. But he's working hard to get as much done before the holiday rush.
