ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) The plan to redevelop Fire Station Number One continues to move forward in Roanoke, but the project will take a little more time.

City Council was expected to approve an extension during its regular meeting Monday, to allow the developer more time to finalize plans.

A representative of Old School Partners told WDBJ7 the design work is moving forward, with the expectation that construction will begin early next year.
