Roanoke City students offering breakfast with Santa for families

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) - Students from Patrick Henry and William Fleming High Schools are using the holiday spirit to help their peers.

For the third year in a row, students are putting on Breakfast with Santa.
Families are invited out Saturday morning for unlimited breakfast, pictures with Santa and a chance to make ornaments.

All of the proceeds will support the city's 400 homeless students.

Those leading the charge say so far the school system has spent about $23,000 to help those students and their families.

"It feels great honestly because it's good to know that someone is helping and someone can be helped at all times," said William Fleming Senior Cleasia Hicks. "And we try out best to get everyone to speak up if they need it."

You can find breakfast and Santa at William Fleming tomorrow morning from 8:30 until 11:30.
