Roanoke Police working to determine if two shootings are related

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7)-- Roanoke City Police are investigating two shootings and are working to see if they are related.

Just before 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, police were called to a report of a person with a gunshot wound in the 3700 block of Stratford Park Drive SW, at the Stratford Park Apartments. Police found a man with a gunshot wound in a parking lot; he was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

About ten minutes later, police were called to another gunshot wound in the 3700 block of Troutland Avenue NW. There, police found a woman outside a home, with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital, also with what police say appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

No one has been arrested and police don't know yet if the shootings are related.
