Police release name of woman found dead in southeast Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7)-- Roanoke Police have released the name of a woman found dead Friday, and they say they are investigating the death as a homicide.

Friday about 7:30 a.m., police responded to a report of a person down in the 1000 block of 4th Street SE. Officers found 33-year-old Cassandra Pizzi, of Roanoke, dead in a wooded area. No information has been released about the cause of death.
