The Community Youth Program at St. John's Episcopal Church is completing a major renovation.

Friday, more than 30 employees of Barrows Incorporated spent the day installing furniture and preparing the space for the students' return.

Jackie Smith is the CYP Executive Director.

"We were still working with things that were outdated, were old, and just weren't working for what we needed," Smith told WDBJ7, "so we are so grateful to be able to refresh our space and celebrate the end of our 20th anniversary."

The renovation was funded by private donors, the partnership with Barrows Inc. and the support of St. John's Episcopal Church.
