Two local organizations are teaming up to help your pets.

The Angels of Assisi transport van stops by Lexington Tuesday, where the Rockbridge Animal Alliance is teaming up with Angels to get 18 dogs spayed or neutered for owners who otherwise couldn’t afford the procedure.

“People want to do the right thing, but they don’t always have the resources to do it," Sara Sprenkle of the Rockbridge Animal Alliance said. "That’s where we come in, trying to bridge this gap between where people are and where we’d like their pet health to be to promote responsible pet ownership.”

There is a sign up procedure, so all the slots for tomorrow’s trip are full.

But you can find the Rockbridge Animal Alliance on Facebook or on their

for future pick-ups.
