WDBJ7 remembers Alison Parker and Adam Ward, and we celebrate their lives.

Grant Smythers is a P.E. teacher and basketball coach at Salem High, and Scott Habeeb is the principal. Both men knew Adam, and they talked with us about how they choose to remember him, and about the Adam Ward Scholarship fund, which is now over $110,000.

Three students have been awarded this honor. The first year it went to Jake Barnett, and this year it was given to two students, Jenson Blevins and Ashlyn Pugh. All three students now attend Virginia Tech.

The scholarship in Adam’s name and memory is through the Salem Educational Foundation and Alumni Association.

Watch the video for to listen to what they have to say, and for more details on how money is raised for the Adam Ward Scholarship fund.
