ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- According to their Facebook, Sam's on the Market will close on Friday, December 29 after more than 90 years.
Sam's on the Market, located at 304 Market Street has been providing uniforms to the Southwestern Virginia area for 95 years.
The company says everything in stock is now 25 percent off with all sales final and will be around for a few weeks after their closing date to help customers pick up anything they may have left in stock.
President Jeff Goldstein said the business owners wanted to retire and were not able to find a buyer for the business.
For 95 years they've sold clothing to officers, rescue squads and firefighters among others. Goldstein said customer loyalty kept them open all these years and they took a lot of pride in working with first responders.
"Well it's been something special to know that you know we are outfitting these people and we'll see like on television we see them and say, hey, we did those uniforms, and you know it just made us feel good," he said.
