FBI releases poster in search for Botetourt County bank robbery

BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ7) -- The FBI has released a wanted poster as part of its investigation into a bank robbery in Botetourt County.

Around 4:30 p.m. November 7, 2019, the Botetourt County Sheriff's office responded to a call about a robbery at the Carter Bank & Trust on Route 460.

According to Botetourt County Sheriff's Office, the robber showed a gun and demanded money before leaving in a silver two-door car.

He is described as a heavy-set Hispanic male, with tattoos on his face, facial hair and glasses. He wore gloves, a dark hooded jacket with a light-colored shirt underneath, dark pants, a tan bucket-style hat with a chin strap and athletic shoes.
