Danville revamps skatepark
Danville's newly renovated skate park is being put together this week.
Leaders say the current equipment has needed repairs for a while.
With a lot of public input from those that use the park, leaders say they are very happy with the improvements.
"It's been a project that we have been working on for a long time. So it's exciting to get that new equipment in here. In kind of a better facility and improve this facility because this is well used and it's very popular so, it will be nice to kind of continue that life cycle," said Russell Carter, who is with Danville Parks and Recreation.
The capital improvement project cost around $75,000.
The new skate park should be up by the end of the week, weather permitting.
There will be a grand opening and ribbon cutting in June.
