BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Rhino Sports & Entertainment Services is hiring 200 employees for Virginia Tech’s 2017 football season.

The positions include field security, premium towers, parking, ticket scanning and ushering. Applications must be at least 18 years old and be able to stand for 4 to 8 hours.

Rhino SES will hold recruiting days at its office at 2605 Research Center Drive in Blacksburg. The dates include June 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. The recruit days will start at 6 p.m. with a cookout outside the office, where people can fill out job applications. At 7 p.m., Rhino will conduct group interviews inside the office to hire the same day.

“Our goal two years ago when we started here at Virginia Tech was to have our football staff, all 500 of them, local employees. During the first two years we had to supplement employees from our other client at Wake Forest. We hope that this year all of our staff will be local Virginia residents. We feel very strongly about having a 100 percent local workforce and keeping those jobs within the Southwest Virginia region,” said Dennis Robarge, account manager for Rhino Sports and Entertainment Services at Virginia Tech.

In addition to football, Rhino will provide security and other services to other events on campus including basketball games, graduations, the Ring Dance and Relay for Life.

You can apply to work at Rhino at the recruit days or online at
