By  |

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) A lawsuit against the Town of Christiansburg over its noise ordinance appears to be near over as of Monday.

Peggy Beasley, owner of the Starlite Drive-In sued the Town over the ordinance after she was prosecuted last summer.

According to Beasley's attorney, in a hearing Monday the Town's Attorney told the judge Christiansburg would no longer enforce that ordinance.

The Attorney said the Town is developing a new ordinance and will have a public hearing to get input.

The judge will revisit the case in June to check the progress of the new ordinance.
