BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Blacksburg is buzzing again as thousands of Hokies move to Virginia Tech.
Campus was flooded with a sea of maroon and orange Hokies, complete with traffic jams and parents carrying heavy loads.
Families started moving in early Wednesday morning. Hokie Helpers wearing blue shirts are making the move-in process easier by offering a hand and saving students a trip.
New students tell us they're already starting to feel comfortable on campus.
"At first I was kind of sad to leave home but once I started getting my room together and go to the dining hall I felt more at home, like comfortable here," said Aria Hill, a Virginia Tech Freshman.
She's part of the university's largest freshman class that totals about seven thousand students.
Move-in continues through Saturday. Classes begin next week.
