Swinging bridge on Kentucky-Virginia border to be longest in North America

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky's Breaks Interstate Park will soon be home to the longest pedestrian swinging bridge in North America.

The Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority will provide more than $400,000 in grant money to help pay for it.

The walking bridge will be 725 feet, connecting Virginia to Kentucky, and will cross the Russell Fork River.
