TRAFFIC ALERT: Vehicle fire causes backups on I-81 in Roanoke County

A vehicle fire is causing backups on Interstate 81 in Roanoke County Friday afternoon.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, there is a vehicle on fire on Interstate 81 at mile marker 142. As of 1:30 p.m. Friday, The south right lane and right shoulder are closed.
VDOT says traffic is backed up for 2.2 miles.
Drivers may run into delays if headed that way.
