TSA wants to help air passengers to remember what not to bring on planes

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) Nunchakus, brass knuckles and ammo are all things people bring to the airport daily.

The Transportation Security Administration displayed some prohibited items at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport Wednesday. Officials understand that people are in a rush to get to the airport -- but want everyone to do their homework before they carry weapons.

"We want people to know that when they come to the checkpoint, that we're going to do everything we can to make sure they get to their destinations safely, and part of that is ensuring no prohibited items get past the check point."

And if you're not quite sure about something - just ask.

The TSA has a new Twitter account where you can double check before you bring something - like a grenade - to the airport.
