Lynchburg’s Academy Center of the Arts is wrapping up another theater camp. However, today they celebrated a first.

Typically the theater puts on a show at the end of each 10-day camp. Well, today marks the first time they had two camps put on two different shows in the same day. A class of students ages 9 to 12 performed “101 Dalmatians” this morning.Followed by the 6- to 9-year-olds performance of “The Aristocats.”

The kids say they do it for “the love of the theater.”

The next camp starts Monday and the play they will be rehearsing is “Rapunzel.”
