ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Three William Fleming High School (WFHS) students were taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon by Roanoke Police after a school fight.
Roanoke City Police officials sought charges for three students; two were charged with disruption of school and one with assault on a law enforcement officer.
The students were transferred to local Juvenile Intake.
The fight occurred during a change of class during the afternoon.
WFHS issued a robocall stating that a school resource officer had to pepper spray the students to get the incident under control.
The robocall said, "I want to assure you this behavior will not be tolerated here at William Fleming High School. It has been addressed swiftly and appropriately."
The names of the students have not been released at this time.
